What is Oanda Global ?
Oanda Global is the British Virgin Islands regulated part of the well known Oanda Group, for global traders. Oanda Global is for a wide range of traders who want to trade CFD markets. Oanda Global provides the MetaTrader 4 (MT4) and MetaTrader 5 (MT5) platforms, which supports different types of trading. Mobile apps are available for both MT4 and MT5, however Oanda also provides its own app, fxTrade.
Oanda offers plug-in tools for MT4 and MT5 to expand their features. These include AutoChartist Technical Analysis, which scans markets looking for trading opportunities, based on pattern recognition. This plug-in is available as an Expert Advisor which the trader can download and is free for all Oanda clients.

What is the minimum deposit ?
There is no minimum deposit requirement for Oanda Global for some account types. The trader can fund their account by Bank Wire, Credit/Debit Cards, Skrill and Neteller.

What are the account types ?
Oanda Global offers three account types. The Standard account has no minimum deposit. This is an account described as for all traders, and offers trading with no commission charge. Forex spread are from 1.1. The next account is the Core account, which has spreads from 0.1 plus a $40 per million commission charge. This is described as for more specialised, experienced traders, that is those using Expert Advisor (EAs), trading on short term time frames (e.g. scalpers) and high frequency traders.
However all account types allow all strategies (orders may be rejected, but there are no re-quotes). Thirdly there is a Swap-Free account, for those who do not want to pay or receive interest.
Next are the Premium account and the Premium Core accounts. These are for high volume traders. The Premium has spreads from 0.8, while the Premium Core account has spreads from 0.1. These two Premium accounts offers extra features: an Account Manager, Zero Deposit Fees (including a reimbursement for bank fees), Free Deposits, Fast Withdrawals and a Free VPN. However the trader must maintain a minimum $20,000 account balance and trade more than $10 million notional or equivalent each month. The Standard, Core, Premium and Premium Core accounts can be denominated in USD, EUR, HKD or SGD, while the Swap-Free is denominated in USD.
