Low Spread No Commission Forex Broker

Some brokers offer low spreads to trade Forex. Brokers may offer very low spreads for the most liquid Forex pairs, which can be down to 0 for EUR/USD. These spreads are normally variable and can and do range higher than the minimum. Some brokers though can offer tight spreads with a low average as well.

However normally these brokers offering very low spreads have a commission charge which is added to the spread. So a trader who wants low spreads may wish to consider as well a broker with low spreads and no commission charge. These kinds of spreads have tended to get lower over the years. Such spreads can be fixed or variable depending on the broker.

In general variable spreads can be lower than fixed spreads, but minimum fixed spreads below 1 are available. Fixed spreads may also vary in certain market conditions. One advantage of using an ECN broker however is that they tend not to restrict trading styles, thus traders who seek low spreads because of the way they trade (for example scalping) may wish to consider such a broker. ECN brokers tend to (but not always) offer an account which does not charge commissions. However at such brokers, the spreads will tend to be higher than the spreads on the ECN accounts as they include the commission as a mark-up. These accounts are designed for traders who do not wish to trade with a commission charge added.

Thus a trader who seeks a low spread no commission Forex broker has a number of options, from an ECN broker which does not restrict styles to a fixed spread broker which can offer low spreads and examples are given in the table above. For a trader who wants low spreads from 0, without a commission charge, this can be possible, for example at a broker which provides such an account but perhaps requiring a high minimum deposit or account balance or with other restrictions.
