Genuine Trading Platforms - User Friendly With Advanced Features

What is a genuine trading platform. A genuine trading platform could be seen as one designed for trading, but perhaps more pertinently offered by a broker which aims to facilitate the trading experience. One approach is to provide an intuitive platform which is relatively easy to use. Another approach is to load up the platform with advanced trading features like automated trading. Yet another is to provide tools such as social and copy trading. So this site has chosen three platform to exemplify these categories.

The first example is Plus500's online trading platform. This aims to be intuitive in the way its layout is designed, but also provides a relatively wide range of technical indicators (115+) and offers the capacity to find fundamental data from the platform. For example when bringing up information about a market to trade, the trader can find embedded on this sheet, information about data which may affect the market (useful for news trading and those who do not wish to trade when a news release is happening).

The next example is cTrader, offered here by Pepperstone. cTrader is an advanced trading platform which has features such as automated trading and a very granular set of time frames, but also has a relatively intuitive design.

The third example is eToro's trading platform. This offers a user friendly platform from which the trader can analyse markets, but provides integrate into this, social and copy trading. Thus the trader may move from their own analysis to checking the views of others to copying the trades of other traders.

So what kind of traders may want to try each of these platforms ? Let's categorise traders into less experienced, intermediate and advanced. The less experienced trader may wish to consider eToro's platform. This is because it has social and copy trading tools, which can be seen as allowing the trader to see the views and even copy the trades of more experienced traders, but still allow them to develop their own trading skills. Intermediate traders may be interested in Plus500, though the platform is so user friendly that all may want to try it as well. Plus500 has a wide range of markets to trade and allows the trader to use advanced strategies around technical and fundamental analysis.

Advanced traders can in fact try all of these platforms. For example they may wish to be a trader to be copied on eToro or may wish to use an intuitive platform with advanced features, suited for the trader who makes their own trading decisions (Plus500). However this said, cTrader does have a depth of advanced trading features, including the capacity to build and run online trading robots. Its charting has an unusual level of granularity in its time frames and is perhaps suited to the more advanced trader who wants to try strategies based on the chart, as well as automation.
