Both of these brokers offer a range of accounts which can be divided into those which offer instant execution (no slippage but there may be requotes) and those which offer market execution (no requotes but there may be slippage). The market execution accounts are STP/ECN, that is they match a client with a liquidity provider.

Both of these brokers offer MT4, however FXTM additionally provides MT5. Both have a similar number of markets available to trade. One difference is that FXTM puts its Shares CFD into a separate account.

Each broker is regulated by the FCA in the United Kingdom, the CySEC in Cyprus and by the FSCA in South Africa. IronFX is additionally regulated by the ASIC in Australia. FXTM is regulated by the FSC in Mauritius.

  • FXTM provides three Standard accounts. These are the Standard, Cent and Shares accounts. These are instant execution accounts (they are not no dealing desk). Micro lot trading is available for all account types. Scalping is allowed only on the ECN accounts. These three account types are available with fixed or variable spreads and the spreads can be tighter on higher account types. The minimum trade size is 0.01 lots except for the Premium and VIP accounts where it is 0.1 lots.
  • IronFX also offers a Zero Fixed Spread account. This provides zero spreads for some markets, with commissions charged. As well, IronFX offers STP/ECN accounts with or without commissions.
