FXCC and NSFX Comparison

Both of these are MT4 ECN brokers, offering low spreads plus a commission charge. A difference is that NSFX also provides fixed spread trading on MT4 (for Forex majors) and offers ECN trading on the JForex platform. FXCC on the other hand can offer for smaller deposit sizes, ECN caliber spreads, without a commission charge. FXCC is regulated by the CySEC and NSFX is regulated by the MFSA.

Minimum deposit and account types

The minimum deposit for FXCC is $100. The minimum deposit for NSFX is $300.

  • FXCC offers three account types, the ECN Standard account which has a minimum deposit of $100, the ECN XL account which has a minimum deposit of $500 and the ECN Advanced account which has a minimum deposit of $100,000.
  • All FXCC account types provide ECN/STP order execution, micro lots (0.01 lots), free technical analysis, allow scalping and EAs and provide a personal account manager. All trading styles are allowed at FXCC, hedging is supported and a news feed and analysis is available on the website. The ECN Advanced account allows Indices trading and has lower commission charges.
  • NSFX offers three account types. These are the MT4 Fixed, MT4 ECN and JForex accounts. The minimum deposit for the MT4 Fixed account is $300, the minimum deposit for the MT4 ECN account is $3,000 and the minimum deposit for the JForex account is $5,000.
  • The NSFX MT4 Fixed account does not charge commissions, the MT4 ECN and JForex accounts do. On its website NSFX provides Trading Central along with analysis, news and an economic calendar and the NSFX academy which includes an FX Video Course, Trading Examples and Guides and a Forex eBook. Hedging is allowed on all three account types as is micro lot trading but only on the MT4 ECN and JForex accounts are EAs enabled and scalping allowed. An Islamic account is available.

Maximum leverage for FXCC is 200:1 on the ECN XL and ECN Advanced accounts and 300:1 on the ECN Standard account. Maximum leverage for NSFX's MT4 Fixed account is 200:1 and maximum leverage for the MT4 ECN and JForex accounts is 100:1.

Commissions

  • FXCC's ECN Standard account charges commissions of 0.75 pips per lot per side for Forex and $7.50 per lot per side for Metals.
  • For deposits of less than or equal to $10,000, FXCC's ECN XL account does not charge commissions and for deposits greater than $10,000 the ECN XL account charges commissions of 0.3 pips per lot per side.
  • FXCC's ECN Advanced account charges commissions of 0.4 pips per lot per side for Forex and $4 per lot per side for Metals, Energy and Indices.
  • NSFX's MT4 ECN and JForex accounts charge commissions of $8 per lot round trip (equivalent to $4 per lot per side).
