easyMarkets and Pepperstone Comparison

Both of these brokers offer Forex trading and a range of other markets. Pepperstone offers less Forex pairs than easyMarkets, but it provides ECN trading conditions. That is, it offers very low Forex spreads, which can be as low as 0, with a commission charge added. As well as this, it provides very fast order execution and supports all trading styles, for example scalping and automated trading. To support this, Pepperstone provides MT4, MT5 and cTrader along with cAlgo.

Against this, easyMarkets offers not only one of the larger offerings of Forex pairs, but also a range of Forex products, such as FX Forwards and Options. It does not offer ECN trading, but does offer fixed spread trading along with MT4 and provides a web trader (which has no slippage). Its Forex spreads can be lower with its higher account types, that is the account types requiring a higher deposit.

So these brokers can be seen as providing strength in Forex trading, but in different ways. Pepperstone for types of trading which need ECN conditions with low variable spreads in return for a commission charge, and easyMarkets for traders who want a wide range Forex products to trade, and other markets, with fixed spreads. easyMarkets is regulated by the ASIC in Australia and by the CySEC in Cyprus. Pepperstone is regulated by the ASIC and by the FCA in the United Kingdom.
