Deriv vs Binary.com Comparison

Deriv began as a trading platform offered by Binary.com. However Deriv.com is the rebranding of Binary.com and Binary.com has moved to Deriv.

Deriv actually offers most of the platforms offered by Binary.com, but it packages them in an intuitive platform suite. For example Binary.com offered Binary Bot, which is a drag and drop platform for building and running robots. This is on Deriv as DBot, but can be accessed by a drop down which provides the range of platforms on Deriv (however Deriv also provides Binary Bot in its suite of platforms as a legacy platform).

In keeping with this difference and similarity, Binary.com's offering of MT5 is available on Deriv. Platforms which which Binary.com did not have include cTrader platform and DTrader, which is a user friendly platform and user friendly Deriv X, which is for margin trading CFDs. Deriv also provides a mobile app (Deriv GO) dedicated to trading markets with Multipliers (with a minimum order of $1) which incorporates the Deriv EZ platform for CFDs on margin.

So all in all, they have similarities in the platforms offered, but Deriv packages these platforms in a more intuitive way and renames them and additionally offers cTrader, DTrader, Deriv X and Deriv GO and Deriv EZ.

Like Binary.com, Deriv offers CFDs based on real markets but has expended to offers Stocks CFDs. Also like Binary.com, Deriv provides CFDs based on synthetic markets (called Synthetic Indices or Synthetics). Deriv has widened its range of Synthetic, offering different types on Indices simulating market conditions from ranges, to trends to action around news events.
