Mobile trading is typically catered to by brokers. But why trade on a mobile. Firstly, it is convenient, the trader can trade essentially whenever they want. Next it allows the trader to monitor the trade without being tied down to a laptop or desktop. Nonetheless the trader is trading on a much smaller screen size. So brokers tend to provide an app which is designed to be intuitive for small screens. Mobile trading may provide extended functionality to the trader. That is, it allows the trader to take their trade with them, and monitor it wherever they want. The trader may need to get used to analysing trades on a small screen, though mobile apps typically offer a range of technical tools. The trader may wish to supplement analysis via the desktop.

One such app is AvaTradeGO, which is AvaTrade's mobile trading app. AvaTrade is a broker regulated across 6 jurisdictions and offers a relatively wide range of markets to trade and on AvaTradeGO, a relatively large number, with 1000+, the bulk of which are Stocks CFDs. The interface is pleasant and intuitive and supports the functionality to be found on the desktop version. The app is based on MetaTrader, but does not offer the kind of functionality which the desktop MetaTrader has, but does provide its own intuitive design. AvaTradeGO offers AvaProtect, which is exclusive to the mobile app, T&Cs apply. This lets the trader protect losing trades, for a fee. AvaTrade does not charge commissions thus trader can trade markets like Stocks and Cruptocurrency CFDs without a commission charge.

Another mobile app worth considering is Plus500's mobile app. Plus500 is a broker which offers one platform across a range of devices from desktop to watch. The various versions mirror each other to the extent this is possible. The mobile app is like the desktop app, that it is looks like it, with some reduced functionality. This is less marked than with AvaTradeGO, as Plus500 is aimed at traders who plan and execute their own trades. Plus500 offers more markets than AvaTrade, with 2000+, but they have a similar range. Neither charge commissions.

Based on the idea of an mobile app extending function, then AvaTradeGO can be seen as an intuitive addition to AvaTrade's desktop platforms, which encompass MT4, MT5, a user friendly web trader and an Options trading platform. Plus500's mobile app can be seen as providing a similar functionality of the desktop's intuitive user friendly design. What the trader makes of these possibilities is up to them.
