City Index and UFX Comparison

UFX is an STP broker (offering CFD trading) which has a range of markets available. It offers crowd trading on the ParagonEx platform along with MT4. City Index provides CFD trading and spread betting, with a wide range of markets and a relatively large number of individual markets.

City Index provides two web trading platforms, MT4 and AT Pro. UFX has a range of account types, with different minimum deposits.

While City Index provides variable spreads, UFX offers fixed spreads. UFX is regulated by the CySEC in Cyprus, while City Index is regulated by the FCA in the United Kingdom, the ASIC in Australia and the MAS in Singapore.

The minimum initial deposit is $100 for the Micro/Mini account, $500 for the Mini account, $1000 for the Islamic and Standard accounts, $5000 for the Gold account and $10,000 for the Platinum account. The minimum trade size ranges from 0.0025 lots for the Micro/Mini account to 1 lot for the Platinum account.
  • All UFX account types have daily market reviews, a video library, daily recommendations and 24hr live support. All except the Micro/Mini account provide a personal trading coach. Standard, Gold and Platinum accounts also have VIP trading support and exclusive updates. Gold and Platinum additionally provide SMS trading alerts and access to MT4. At UFX there is a one minute minimum time after a position has been opened until it can be closed.

Why City Index or UFX ?

City Index can offer many more markets to trade than UFX, when considering their respective web traders. City Index offers two web traders and an advanced platform (it has an expanded range of charting tools and other features) called AT Pro. UFX on the other hand offers ParagonEx which has an enhanced news feed, which provides news and can reference news items to the behaviour of the crowd of other traders. Both provide MT4.
